Introducing Rating 1.0 to Rocket League

Team WNDR's analytics team is proud to introduce our new metric: Rating 1.0
We have developed a rating system for Rocket League similar to those used in other esports. Our Rating 1.0 (r1) incorporates:
- Goals per Game
- Assists per Game
- Saves per Game
- Shots per Game
- Win percentage
- Shooting % (goals/shots)
For each metric, each player is given a rating around 1.0 based on how they compare to the event-specific average. For example, a player with a 0.70 gpg will get a 1.15 rGoal rating, if the average goal per game is around 0,6.
A player's rating is a weighted average of all the metric's ratings. We evaluate a decent player to have a rating above 1.0, while an excellent player should have a rating above 1.2. Any player with a rating under 0.8 is a clear sign of under-performance.
Our rating system provides a comprehensive evaluation of player performance, with 1.0 being the average rating. Explore event-specific ratings using the "2025 Events" tab above. As we collect more data, we will shift the averages to global averages, in order for ratings to be comparable between regions. Currently, a 1.40 in EU is miles ahead of a 1.40 in SSA, for example.
